This tuscan holiday house is positioned 150-200 meters above sea level, enjoys a Mediterranean climate and is well sheltered. To the west it faces Montevettolini, mediaeval village, while the south overlooks the valley that extends far to the sea, a breathtaking wiew that calls for meditation. The Podere Pilar is close-by to many interesting locations.

It is equidistant to the wonderful city of art Florence and Pisa with its fascinating tower. Close also to Lucca, Pistoia, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano and the famous Versilian coastline and beaches.
Two important SPA are also at hand, one in Monsummano and one in Montecatini. Many of the above mentioned places can be visited with a day or half day tour.

The farmhouse in tuscany, now used as a holiday villa, was built in 1811 and following a careful recent reconstruction has kept intact the characteristics typical of the tuscan house of this area making the Holiday in Tuscany Podere Pilar a place of rare quality and enjoyment.
Built on two floors, with a gross surface area of ​​approximately 400 m2.  the villa, habitable in full privacy, in its every part thanks to the separate entrances, can comfortably accommodate 10-12-15 adults, using where necessary the studio apartment of approximately 50 m2 located on the first floor north-east side or even the adjoining apartment that can used by the owners, located on the first floor north, south and west sides of the house, there being two independent entrances for them from the external stairs of the building. Environment and Facilities

Behind the holiday villa situated on a higher plain is the swimming pool measuring 6 meters x 12 meters with a variation in deapth from 1.20 meters to 2.10 meters and accessable by way of a stone stairway or two separate paths. The ultrapanoramic swimming pool of the villa has hot and cold showers, an ample paved circumference bordered with plants and flowers, and a large gazebo well equipped with comfortable garden furniture to enjoy from dawn to dusk.
The holidays house in Tuscany has also a room for the fitness activities of the guests, with ciclette, tapis roulant, and other gymn equipment. In the park one can find a continental bowles ground for a fun game with friends even at night thanks to the night lights, and a capacious barbecue perfect for the preparation of food  for pool suppers or for meals in the two distinct sitting areas in the corner of the ample coveryard at the front of the house.
Sufficient parking space can be found in front of the gate entrance to the courtyard and is reserved for the guest’s cars of the Tuscany Villa Podere Pilar.

Surroundings

The Tuscany Villa Podere Pilar is situated 500 meters from the mediaeval hill top village of Montevettolini and just 2 kilometers from the international 18 hole Golf course of Montecatini. The well known spa Grotta Giusti is in Monsummano Terme at 3 kms.drive;  the city of Montecatini Terme at 7kms.
 The surrounding area offers many panoramic tracks for mountain biking or walking, moreover , local tennis courts, shops, supermarkets and many restaurants and trattorie offering excellent local food.
 The railway station is 7 kms distant in Montecatini as is the entrance to the motorway taking you either to Florence airport 45 kms. Or Pisa airport 55 kms.
 The versilian coast is easily reached by the motorway as are the forests and marble caves of the Alpi Apuane.
