Until next October 2019 every Wednesday at 21.15 in via Grocco n.2 at the Hotel Esplanade Settentrionale in Montecatini Terme the concert “The best of Opera” is held.
The events are organized by the “Opera Concerto” music promotion association and are open to the participation of those who love beautiful Italian opera music.
In the welcoming hall with excellent acoustics the most famous opera pieces are played with piano accompaniment.
From Verdi to Puccini, from Mascagni to Leoncacavallo romances, duets and interludes follow one another; the interpreters offer themselves with passion and professionalism to the public who warmly applauds them.
The programs respond to the needs of those who appreciate ” bel canto“. Noteworthy is the presentation of each song with a brief introduction also in English which facilitates listening to that tourist who may not understand the words of the text.
The appreciation for the participation is manifested with a pleasant drink before the beginning and a sweet in the short interval; initiative that is appreciated as well as tasty.
If the first part of the concert is dedicated to the opera, with pieces known worldwide, such as “la donna è mobile” from Verdi’s Rigoletto or “vissi d’arte” by Puccini’s Tosca, the second part of the concert is mainly dedicated to classic Italian and Neapolitan songs.
With the beautiful and highly acclaimed duet “libiamo nei lieti calici” from La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, the evening so rich in sounds and captivating musical harmonies usually ends.
Our guests can easily reach the hotel, in a journey of about 15 minutes by car; in the area there are numerous parking lots.
The ticket can be purchased directly in the hall and by presenting one of our tickets there is a significant reduction on the price of entry to the concert.
We are sure that for our guests the participation in the concert “The best of Opera” will remain a beautiful memory in addition to other significant experiences during their stay at the Agriturismo Podere Pilar di Montevettolini.
